One Year Out of the Comfort Zone — A Leap That Changed Everything

One year ago, I made a decision that changed my life.

I stepped away from the security of a Big 4 consulting career, a clear partner track, a stable income — and instead, chose to leap fully into the unknown.

Not because I had to. But because I was ready.

Ready to live a life fully aligned with purpose.

Ready to stop asking “What if?” — and start discovering what’s possible when fear becomes your compass.

This wasn’t a sudden impulse.

For years, I had built Out of Comfort Zone as a side passion — inspired by my swims across icy waters and the belief that transformation begins when we step beyond what feels safe.

But the real turning point came when I said yes to an expedition that few would even dare to imagine:

Attempting the world’s highest altitude ice swim at 6,400 meters in the Himalayas.

That moment — standing at the edge of the unknown, gasping for air, and pushing beyond what my body believed possible — mirrored the choice I would soon make in my professional life.

Since that moment, I’ve been building a life from the inside out — aligned with my values, energy, and mission.

This past year has been the most courageous, humbling, and expansive chapter of my journey.

Here’s what happened in just 12 months:

  • Delivered 100+ transformative coaching sessions

  • Facilitated leadership trainings in 8+ countries

  • Gave 30+ keynote speeches worldwide

  • Organized 10+ immersive retreats and cold-water Bootcamps

  • Launched consulting projects — this time as a freelancer aligned with purpose

  • Launched my podcast on Spotify & YouTube

  • Began writing my next book: From Fear to Peak Flow

  • Expanded the Out of Comfort Zone team and global community

  • Collaborated with conscious brands & influencer

And beyond the business side…

  • Became World Champion in ice swimming — while one month pregnant

  • Featured in 3 international documentaries

  • Appeared in 5+ global publications

  • Nominated Best Speaker at the Female Power & Excellence Awards in Paris

  • Named among the Top 100 Speakers in Germany

But behind every milestone are deeper moments — of doubt, fire, flow — and most importantly, people. To each of you who trusted me, worked with me, encouraged me, or even just sent a kind message: thank you. Your presence makes all of this real

This is not the end of the road. It’s just the beginning.

Let’s keep asking bold questions.
Let’s keep growing — in courage, joy, and purpose.
Let’s keep stepping out of comfort zones — together.

Reflection for You

If you would act despite your doubts and fears — what would you do?
Where would you like to see and feel yourself, if you were in your flow zone?

You are not alone with your doubts. Don’t forget: you are here to live your unique spirit. You can do this. Let’s continue growing — together.

Thank You

Thank you to my clients, partners, friends, community and all of you who have been part of the journey.

Why Knowing What to Do Isn’t Always Enough
Dear friends, We are already living outside our comfort zones. Change, uncertainty and constant pressure have become part of everyday life. The question is no longer simply: “How can I step outside my comfort zone?” The deeper question is: “How can I feel grounded in discomfort, navigate uncertainty and still access my inner Peak Flow?” Often, what stands between us and our next level is not a ...
The Arctic Didn't Test My Strength. It Tested My Trust.
Dear Friends, A few weeks ago, I stood at the edge of the Arctic Ocean, surrounded by glaciers, moments before stepping into 4°C water. People often ask me what the hardest part was. Was it the cold? The distance? The polar bears? None of them. The hardest part was letting go of control. As a mother, leaving my daughter safely on shore while I entered the Arctic Ocean was far more difficult tha...
Out of Comfort Zone: What the North Pole and AI Have in Common
Dear Friends, As I write this newsletter, I am preparing for one of the most ambitious adventures of my life: a record attempt at the North Pole this July. This is not just another swim. The Arctic Ocean is one of the most unforgiving environments on Earth. The water temperature will be around -1°C, with drifting sea ice, unpredictable weather, and a very real risk that most swimmers will neve...
