In 6 days, I will swim from Europe to Africa for world peace.

From Europe to Africa. Across the Strait of Gibraltar. Swimming for world peace. 15 km. 16°C water. And less preparation than I've ever had for a swim this big.

My body is still finding its way back after giving birth. My long-distance training has been limited. And yet — the Strait of Gibraltar is calling. Europe to Africa. A swim for peace. A bridge between continents, in a world that keeps building walls.

This is not the "perfect conditions" version of me swimming it.

This is the real one.

  • Distance: ~15 km
  • Water temp: ~16°C
  • Swim window: May 4–14

I'll take you with me — the preparation, the fear, the crossing. Follow along.

What I witnessed last weekend

Our Out of Comfort Zone Bootcamp happened. And something I rarely see in corporate settings showed up in that room: people chose to be vulnerable — not because they had to, but because they felt safe enough to.

That's the paradox I keep coming back to:

The moment you think vulnerability makes you weak is exactly the moment you lose access to your power.

When people stopped pretending they had it together, Peak Flow happened. Focus, clarity, presence. Not pushed. Unlocked.

The next open bootcamp opens in November. In-house bookings for teams are ongoing.

Where are you right now?

The Peak Flow Self-Assessment takes 5 minutes. It shows you what's blocking your next level — and how close you already are.

This week on the Out of Comfort Zone podcast

How do Olympic gold medalists and top CEOs perform at the highest level — without burning out?

I sat down with Koen Gonnissen, leadership and sports coach with 30+ years experience, to talk about the four pillars of Peak Flow — and the four words that explain why most high performers stay stuck.

His answer will challenge everything you've been told about playing to your strengths.

One last thing before I go train: From Fear to Peak Flow is now in the design stage. The book that holds everything I know about Peak Flow — from the Alps to Antarctica, from psychology to lived experience — is almost in your hands. If you haven't yet, join the early bird list here →

When was the last time you did something before you felt ready?

That's probably exactly where your next level is waiting.

Why Knowing What to Do Isn’t Always Enough
Dear friends, We are already living outside our comfort zones. Change, uncertainty and constant pressure have become part of everyday life. The question is no longer simply: “How can I step outside my comfort zone?” The deeper question is: “How can I feel grounded in discomfort, navigate uncertainty and still access my inner Peak Flow?” Often, what stands between us and our next level is not a ...
The Arctic Didn't Test My Strength. It Tested My Trust.
Dear Friends, A few weeks ago, I stood at the edge of the Arctic Ocean, surrounded by glaciers, moments before stepping into 4°C water. People often ask me what the hardest part was. Was it the cold? The distance? The polar bears? None of them. The hardest part was letting go of control. As a mother, leaving my daughter safely on shore while I entered the Arctic Ocean was far more difficult tha...
Out of Comfort Zone: What the North Pole and AI Have in Common
Dear Friends, As I write this newsletter, I am preparing for one of the most ambitious adventures of my life: a record attempt at the North Pole this July. This is not just another swim. The Arctic Ocean is one of the most unforgiving environments on Earth. The water temperature will be around -1°C, with drifting sea ice, unpredictable weather, and a very real risk that most swimmers will neve...
